THE AID INFORMATION CHALLENGE 2010

The first ever UK
Aid Information Challenge took place last Saturday, 10th April in London at the Guardian newspaper. The aim was to see what would happen when aid data, aid practitioners, and some incredibly clever techies are brought together. Despite the sunshine outside, over 40 people joined us for 7 hours of enthusiastic (and legal) hacking.

Some great ideas were developed, including tools for searching and visualising data. To have a look at  the 7 projects built on the day click here. There was popular demand for this momentum to continue, so if you'd be interested in the next event, please email Cormac at info@publishwhatyoufund.org.

A prize was awarded to Tim Davies, whose team produced a great tool for searching DFID's Project Level Data.

All the photos from the day can be found
