This month we are gearing up for the first round of the "Aid Information Challenge".  This is a series of events bringing together the aid practitioners and transparency oriented tech-heads to build, test and demonstrate the technical feasibility of aid transparency tools.

The first will be held at the World Bank in Washington D.C. on 12th of March and the second in London on 12th April at the Guardian newspaper.

Please consider joining us, and sending this email to your 5 favourite developer friends who have an eye for data in London and D.C.  The link to find out more is

Our recent activities:

  • This month the Six Questions Campaign has asked donors and recipients to disclose their aid information - stay tuned to see results roll in.

  • The first draft of the Aid Transparency Index has been finalised and will be sent out for consultation. Watch this space.

  • We have been working with EU AidWatch to extend the existing monitoring of aid transparency in the 27 EU member states.

  • The work on mapping aid to recipients' budget information is now developing practical solutions to propose to the International Aid Transparency Initiative Technical Advisory Group in March, building on January's briefing paper.
