Karin, Director of Publish What You Fund, explains why aid transparency is so important. Emphasis is on the need for comparability of published data, and a system which allows information to make sense between donors and recipients alike. This will be made possible with the use of linked, open-source data – something we have seen working in Haiti, and which can be further developed and invested in both in developmental and humanitarian contexts.
