PRESS RELEASE: France to publish aid data to common standard / La France va publier l’information sur son aide publique selon la norme commune

By Katie Welford | Jul 31, 2013 | News

The French Government has just announced that aid transparency is a core priority of its new development policy and it will start publishing its aid data in accordance with an internationally agreed common standard in 2014.

The Inter-ministerial Committee for International Cooperation and Development (CICID) met this morning for the first time in four years, under the chairmanship of Jean-Marc Ayrault.

The government seems to have finally recognised the importance of making their aid transparent, announcing the implementation of the International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI), in relation to priority recipient countries.

A specific website will be launched in the coming weeks to provide more information on French aid projects to Mali
