(USA) – Recovery.gov today launches as the means of tracking spending on the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Publish What You Fund welcomes this move as the domestic version of what we’re asking for internationally, on transparency of aid.

(USA) – The German Marhsall Fund’s Transatlantic Taskforce on Development consists of 24 members from the USA, Canada and Europe. In their report’s section on "Building Mutual Accountability," (p57-59) they point to the work of Publish What You Fund, as well as the International Aid Transparency Initiative and the Accra Agenda for Action. Their key recommendation is that "Donors need to deliver on promises to increase their own transparency and predictability," but the recommendations should really be read in full.

(UK) – The draft Power of Information Taskforce Report has been published for members of the community to comment on before it is formally handed in to the government. Among their recommendations, they argue that the public sector should release information more proactively and freely for the use of third sector organisations.
