Yesterday, 25^th May, saw the launch of the ONE campaign’s Data Report 2010, in which aid transparency emerged as a central theme. ‘Monitoring the G8 promise to Africa’, the report summarizes countries’ promises of development assistance and progress towards fulfilling these pledges in the last year. 

The Aid Transparency Movement, an article published by David Sasaki in Global Voices, provides a clear and concise overview of the necessity of aid transparency and how far the movement has come to date. He draws together the organisations and initiatives which have contributed to the global campaign for more and better aid data disclosure, resulting in a useful reference for both the layman and the expert.
