Publish What You Fund will launch the 2018 Aid Transparency Index on the morning of 20th June at the Brookings Institute in Washington DC.

This is the seventh full Index report, which this year will assess 45 of the largest donors of aid and development finance. The launch event will be livestreamed, so that those unable to join in person can watch the results and discussions unfold.

As well as assessing the performance of donors over the last year, the report and event will also look to the future challenges of aid and development work. Multiple and new funding streams are building a far more complex picture to the one faced by partner country governments, donors and civil society 10-years ago, when our campaign for aid transparency began.

Humanitarian actors, development finance institutions, trust funds managers and others have a growing role in the aid landscape. This makes transparency more critical now than ever before. Collectively, we must ensure that all aid and development information, whoever is producing it, is made available in a timely, detailed, open and comparable manner.

Further details to follow – for now, please read our latest guest blog from Dr Catherine Weaver, who discusses the impact of the Index to date, based on her recent research paper.
