Important work is being done in the area of transparency of U.S. foreign assistance, particularly the reporting of aid flows.  In light of the increasing pressures on the federal budget, it is critical we ensure that information about foreign assistance is comprehensive, usable, and published in a timely manner.

Congressional staff can learn more about recent efforts to increase transparency and accountability of foreign aid as part of ongoing reforms and modernization of foreign assistance programs, including U.S. commitments to the Foreign Assistance Dashboard, the International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI), as well as related issues for the 113th Congress.  The briefing will consist of two short presentations, followed by time for questions and discussion

Moderator:

George Ingram, Co-Chair of MFAN and Senior Fellow at the Brookings Institution

Speakers:

Gregory Adams, Director of Aid Effectiveness, Oxfam America

Sally Paxton, U.S. Representative, Publish What You Fund
