Open Development Barcamp on aid transparency

By Katie Welford | Jul 30, 2009 | News

The Open Development Barcamp, held at the World Bank and attended by over 100 people, focused on how to make aid more transparent.
The event allowed attendees – from organizations and projects to researchers, practitioners and clients in developing countries, to have improved access to aid information, data on outcomes, knowledge, and tools.
The event placed critical importance on “improving transparency and making aid information across donors more coherent” and provided “tangible examples of what is possible […] to illustrate the power of these ideas”.
