Brian Atwood, Chair of the OECD’s Development Assistance Committee (DAC), has confirmed the organisation’s strong commitment to the International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI).

At a speech last night in London, Atwood impressed the crowd by saying the DAC is behind the aid transparency movement. He asserted that as much as 30% of aid is lost on transaction costs, plus costs of waste & fragmentation, adding that aid transparency is central to ensuring foreign assistance works for those who need it on the ground.

Atwood congratulated Publish What You Fund in continuing to promote the IATI standard around the world.
