The World Bank today launched the Open Knowledge Repository (OKR), an open-access storehouse for its research and knowledge products.

The OKR will collect, disseminate and permanently preserve World Bank research online. The website, along with the new Open Access Policy (effective from July), will increase the range of people who can now access World Bank content—from governments and civil society organizations, to students and the general public.

By improving access to research, the World Bank aims to encourage innovative solutions to development problems.
