New Eurodad report: Conditionality in World Bank crisis-lending to Ghana

Eurodad released a new report “Conditionality in World Bank crisis-lending to Ghana” on July 29th which finds that conditions for receiving loans are increasingly “being pushed through the side door” instead of being outlined in the loan agreements, keeping Low Income Countries under the influence of the Bank.

Liberian Minister of Finance: ‘All in place to ensure transparency’

Augustine Ngafuan, Finance Minister of Liberia has put in place measures to ensure transparency in all sectors of the Liberian society. This will require ministries and agencies that receive donor assistance outside the budget to make regular reports, and disclose copies of agreements between Government entities and donors to the Ministers of Finance and Planning within seven days.

Estonian development database goes online

All information about Estonian development co-operation activities can now be found in a public online database in both Estonian and English. This is an official database managed by the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and is a step towards government accountability and public access to information.
