Ryan joined Publish What You Fund in January 2020 to work on the DFI Transparency Initiative and now undertakes research for the DFI Transparency Index. He is currently leading research on DFI climate finance transparency and supporting on the mobilisation project.

Ryan holds an MSc in Environmental Change and International Development from the University of Sheffield. He interned for an indigenous-run NGO in Kenya where he conducted research on the impacts of human-wildlife conflict on pastoralist communities. Ryan previously lived in Colombia for four years teaching English. He has travelled extensively around South America volunteering for various NGOs.
