IATI, Publish What You Fund, Open Contracting Partnership, Transparency International, the Global Initiative for Fiscal Transparency (GIFT), and UNDP are holding a side event at the Financing for Development conference. Please find details below and view the full invite with map here.

The Role of Data Standards and International Initiatives in Mobilizing and Monitoring Financing for Development Commitments

In order to achieve the ambitions of the Financing for Development and post-2015 agendas, it will be necessary to harness all of the available financial resources for sustainable development. Better data on all development finance flows are essential in order to build a complete and timely picture of the resources available.

The side event will highlight the contribution that data standards and international transparency initiatives can make to mobilizing resources and monitoring financial commitments for sustainable development, and promote greater collaboration between existing and emerging data standards to strengthen these efforts.

The event will be moderated by Ms. Judith Randel, Executive Director, Development Initiatives
