UKaid Transparency Guarantee well received

By Katie Welford | Jun 7, 2010 | News

On Thursday 3rd June the Department for International Development made a commitment to a new ‘UKaid Transparency Guarantee’. Publish What You Fund, ActionAid and the Overseas Development Institute (ODI) welcomed the announcement. Notably the ODI acknowledges the value in ‘increased political interest and commitment to aid transparency’; Publish What You Fund agrees that it is not only improvement of UK aid transparency which is important, but also UK leadership on the International Aid Transparency Initiative which will be crucial in sustaining global momentum and urging other donors and supporting recipients to publish their information on aid.
