Event: Joined-up Data Standards and OpenAg projects at IODC 2016

By Katie Welford | Sep 29, 2016 | Events

The International Open Data Conference will take place in Madrid from 6-7th October 2016. Two of Publish What You Fund’s projects will be running sessions and welcome participation from those attending the conference.

  • The OpenAg Funding project is running the session Open agricultural funding: Breaking down the silos 11.00 – 12.00, Friday 7th October, Room F.
  • The Joined-up Data Standards project is running the session Joined-up data standards: evidence of need and emerging solutions 12.00 – 13.00, Friday 7th October, Room B. This event will explore how the principle of data interoperability can be translated into practice, using the joined-up data standards consultation paper as a starting point.

In advance of the main conference, the Joined-up Data project is also running a Data Standards Day on Wednesday 5th October from 12.00-16.30. The aim of this day is to provide a space for groups that are developing and implementing technical standards for open data to work on specific standards, join the dots between different efforts, and reflect on shared challenges and opportunities.
